QATAR CHILDREN WELCOME ARAB CHILDREN ON THE OCCASION OF ARAB CHILD DAY
In a big celebration at Qatar Mall with the slogan of “living our childhood”
On the occasion of Arab Child Day celebrations by Qatar Social Work Foundation are organized by Protection and Social Rehabilitation Centre (AMAN), Dhreima Qatar Orphan Foundation in partnership with protection and rehabilitation center Aman, family consultation center Wifaq, Shafallah Center and Best Buddies Qatar at Qatar Mall on Monday, October 1st, in line with a media awareness campaign through social networking sites.
Dhreima Center will present a mural for the Arab World map painted in many colors, each color symbolizing one of the centers during this celebration,
The child will be asked to place a pin on his country and then a question about the center and the country will be given to him as part of entertainment.
to stand at some points represented in pictures (family - safety - education - health) each one reflects his right to embody the child rights, a whishes tree will be displayed so each child will write his future wish and stick the paper to the tree, in addition to a paint made by Shafallah center employees, will be displayed.
Arab Child Day is celebrated on the same day annually on the death anniversary of the Palestinian child Mohamed al-Durrah who was killed by Israeli occupation forces on September 30, 2000. On this occasion, different activities, events and workshops are held yearly which reflects the different existing Arab cultures to introduce it to the Qatari society, to bring views closer, strengthen coexistence and understanding with children of the world, and highlight the importance of Arab unity and cohesion.
